Heyo, heyo.

As things get colder, I'm reminded of how enamored I am with it. There is a motive behind movement when it's chilly. My body is much more inclined to produce warmth as it is; it is nice to use that generative power for something necessary instead of wasting it in the heat.

I recognize I am still keeping a lofty distance from personal anecdotes when I write. Call it cold feet. I am very nervous about exerting presence, both physically and psychically, which becomes displacing when I remember how I am an opaque and solidified mass, moving through spacetime, carried on the back of a whirling organism in the middle of a vast emptiness. I'll admit, I am reassured when I think of that resounding coldness - it is rife with the heat of beginnings, with the vibrance of potential and the stability of certainty. It makes my body feel less-than-certain, like catching a rainbow in the spray from a mountain waterfall, but in a reassuring way.

Physical limitations aside, for me, it is unwieldy to be a person. When I was a kid, I broke many china plates. I had little sense of how my body flailed about the house; I had to get familiar with brooms and dustpans, as well as with handing off the repair to much more practiced hands. Nowadays, I honor that tradition by breaking the stemmed wine glasses I leave on the floor and forget about mid-drink. Some things remain remarkably consistent for as short a time as we have here.

Today was a success for the constitution of the objects around me. We will see how solid they remain tomorrow. As active an enemy of order as I am, I truly wish the best for their continued wholeness.

You can expect 99¢ Free Verse Garbage to release before Christmas. I am putting the finishing touches to solidify it into a fine crystalline lattice that resonates with meaning and form. I haven't been able to play this loosely with format in years, and it's invigorating to explore the shapes of words across the page. My love - a base love, one of the most common denominator - of Times New Roman has awoken from its slumber. When it does release, you can expect a post about it; until then, you can rest in the silence afforded by my intense and focused procrastination.

Anyways. Whether you are warm or cold or somewhere in between, I hope you are able to enjoy some aspects of the circumstances of your existence until we return here.
