heyo, heyo -

trying out a different format this time, so if things seem off or different, it's all part of the ride, it's all to spice things up and keep it fresh and foment that specific type of je ne sais croire i'm looking for in my work (which i know isn't the typically used form of the term; i mean in this case as if it were 'i don't know what to believe;' every 'typo' you see from now on is intentional).

it's great to talk with you again in this one sided conversation in which you indulge me constantly, which i appreciate to no end. i hope the world finds you well this week

i am revisiting art through the lens of purpose, which requires an investigation of belief and selfhood that up until now i have been incapable of enacting. i feel like i have been all too strict with writing, with communication, and it's time to move less gracefully and more with vibrance, with incoherence, narrowing down meaning to a precise point no matter how many fumbles or missedtakes along the way.

it's good to be back; the trip was excellent; i have returned far more reinvigorated and excited to work than i have been in several weeks. art is spiraling outwards and inwards, manifesting itself in verse and prose, riveting narrative to even the most scuffed of drywall.

anyways, as for projects -

Zoo Crew is a source of hobby-like joy again, what with the walls of expectation and protection shattered. it will exist soon - it is my express goal to have it ready before i turn thirty, which feels like a capstone that will wrap things up all too neatly, and perhaps may be too big a goal as each time i have tried to impose a deadline on this work, it eludes me for stylistic questioning and massive edits.

RBG will start again soon, later than i'd like, perhaps biweekly, who's to say. i am excited to get back into it. i have also opened a category of Rejected Submissions where i can post some of the shorter works i have written for magazines that have come back with massive 'rejected' stamps upon them.

my instagram account will soon be active as well. i am leaving the subject matter of my posts in obscurity for now, as surprise is my favorite weapon, but it will be highly experimental and may take a couple of tries to pare down into something - into whatever it may need to be. so, if you're not following me, feel free to subscribe for future updates.
